I wish the cyborgs on this site would stop being so dang consistent with their weight loss efforts so us humans with weaknesses could have a a sense of hope. I need fat camp. I am not worthy ((I am ranting now and will get over this. I just have to let it out))

I let a long rough day and bad weather get the best of me. All it takes a just a little sugar on the tounge and the addict comes back out.

An Epic 4 days Sat, Sun, Mon and Tue came to an end when I put the brownie in my body Tuesday evening. ---[[ Do not feed the bear ]]---

Weight changes
2/5 Mon 4:45 AM 210.2 lbs - 9:00 PM 210.6 lbs (Down 3.2 since last Monday)
2/6 Tue 4:45 AM 208.8 lbs - 9:00 PM 208.8 lbs (( brownie got in my mouth ))
2/7 Wed 4:45 AM 208.0 lbs - 9:00 PM 209.8 lbs ((sugar and flour are pure evil))
2/1 Thu 4:45 AM 209.0 lbs - 9:00 PM ((T.B.D))

1/29 Mon 4:45 AM 213.4 lbs - 9:00 PM 216.2 lbs
1/30 Tue 4:45 AM 214.2 lbs - 9:00 PM 214.8 lbs ((Completed a 23 1/2 hr S.D.F))
1/31 Wed 4:45 AM 211.4 lbs - 9:00 PM 210.8 lbs
2/1 Thu 4:45 AM 209.8 lbs - 9:00 PM 209.6 lbs ((another 23 hr S.D.F completed))
2/2 Fri 4:45 AM 208 lbs - 9:00 PM 209.6 lbs

SCREW THIS!!! This is a learning experience. Insulin inhibits breakdown of fat in adipose tissue by inhibiting the intracellular lipase that hydrolyzes triglycerides to release fatty acids. ... By these mechanisms, insulin is involved in further accumulation of triglyceride in fat cells. ((This is not an opinion. This is Biochemistry))

What does this mean? If I eat foods that cause the release of Insulin to control blood sugar, by body will not burn fat. It will fill up my fat cells. The # on the scale will go up.

This is maddening. I know better but I still do what I shouldn't ((addict definition)

UUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Forgive me. My decision making skills are weak again. I need to turn it around.

OK. I think the rant is over.

my weight changes up and down. It depends upon water intake, stress and hormones for me, so some of it is beyond my control. I like to keep an accurate record of daily fluctuations, just so that I see that weight is a fluid thing and minor ups and downs are OK, just as long as the long term trend is downward. Good luck, you are doing well, don't get derailed by minor hiccups.

It's really tough to be consistent for long periods of time. It seems like I can be good for a week or so and then I give in to temptation. Then I usually get back to work and it takes about a week to undo the damage. I know I need to figure out a way to stay motivated. Sometimes life (or brownies) just get in the way.

I am also a junkie food addict and this journey has been extremely difficult but I will make it through just as you will. It just may take us longer.

Nice rant...seriously, who hasn't been there. You will be okay and stay the good course now that you have that off of your chest.

Boy, you really do know how to rant! We all do it. Sometimes we take one step forward and 2 steps back. Hang in there

Wow you have lost weight and are ranting? I MIGHT have lost one pound, after totally changing my diet and upping the exercise. It's been about three weeks. I don't know what that mysterious "water weight" is they keep talking about - on me it's all fat. I keep reading that stress puts on belly weight and that's where all mine is. Right in the middle. I am pretty normal everywhere else. but it hard to tie my shoes.... awful! I think you're doing great! Keep it up. Here's my tip: Make sure and go food shopping right after you have eaten. Helps curbs those urges to buy crap.

There is a lot of chemistry with eating and dealing with insulin resistance. Carbs will invariably trigger more insulin response and more insulin resistance if your body can no longer metabolize carbs well. Proteins have less insulin response and Fats not at all. Fats do not cause issues with heart disease as once thought. It is the carbs processing through the liver and with Insulin that causes weight gain and risk for many chronic health conditions. insulin is the fat hormone and drives the carbs into the fat cells. Health fats should be primary in the eating plan followed by protein and low glycemic carbs if dealing with insulin resistance. The your body can start using its own fat for energy instead of storing more. Turn the old food pyramid upside down.

Boy do I know what you’re talking about. Hang in there!

If it were me, the carbs and protein you had for breakfast would be all that I would be allowed in 24 hours. I fill in with fats to an 1800 calorie limit. Of course, I am much shorter and a woman, and not an exercise physiologist. Probably, you are merely ranting for your own benefit, but check out this video: https://www.dietdoctor.com/2-popular-video-2017-fat-chance

Damn those Cyborgs!!! They make it look so easy. I'm so struggling to get to my pre-holiday weight. Thanks for the inspiration and reminding us we all are human by your example...

Rocky and Apollo are boxing together and Apollo tells Rocky, "It's too bad we have to get old." Rocky replies "Keep punching"... This was in the begging of Rocky IV where Apollo and Rocky are friends. I recently watched this movie again this past Superbowl Sunday while on treadmill for 138 minutes (the cyborg in me). Thanks all. The struggle is real. I will keep punching. No quitting for me. I still log so I can examine patterns. I will get there.

You got this. We all deserve to rant... and we must live and learn. So it’s time to regroup and start back at it. Aren’t we lucky that each morning we get a fresh start...

Thanks Ches! LOL 😆 Brownies are EVIL! (Both kinds of Brownies! If you’d ever led a troop, you would know! They should be called Gremlins!) New nickname for your scale! LOL GREMLIN! Don’t feed it after dark! LOL 🙋🏻And where are those cyborgs? I’m locked and loaded...

Sometimes we all need to rant. A brownie is evil. To be honest, for me peanut butter is just as evil. I think the more I try to exercise the more I cheat myself with food. I have to get myself under control and lay off the darn peanut butter!!
