JockoT's Journal, 04 Feb 17

Surprised and disappointed to find I had only dropped a pound since yesterday, however, when I thought about it, if I am now burning Fat, then a pound equates to 3500 calories, which is roughly what I would expect to expend on a fasting day.
Day two of my fast went well. I felt cold just before the 48 hour mark and worried it was my BMR turning the wick down, but as soon as I went to bed I warmed back up, so it was probably just the house getting cold.
After a couple of hours sleeping I had to get up to the toilet (probably the 2.5 Litres of water I had drunk) and felt a little light headed, though that may have been due to waking from a deep sleep. 5 hours later I had to get up again but this time felt a lot better. I was woken by Mrs T, bringing me a cup of tea, just at the 56 hour mark, so had my tea and chocolate biscuit. I had a sore head, which has now gone, which may have had nothing at all to do with fasting.
Next week I will try the same and if that is successful then, sometime in the near future, I will go for a 3 day fast.

Glad you didn't faint this time.

Sounds like all is good. Just be careful with the light headedness and take your time between going from horizontal to fully vertical (I know it's not easy to sit at the side of the bed for a minute when it's Baltic, mind). Don't forget you're well over 6 foot so that's a long way for the blood to get when everything's relaxed, arteries, etc. Have a great weekend!

Gosh Jocko didn't realize you were that tall. So you must be looking slim at your present weight 👌👍👏

A loss is a loss. You're very in-tune with yourself which is a good thing. I also get light headed sometimes when I get up, I quite often say 'ooh I got up too quick then'. Often wonder why that happens, have thought it may have something to do with painkillers?

You must be pretty close to your goal weight, Jocko! Pounds tend to be slow coming off the closer you are. I didn't realize you were so tall, either. LOL!

Sorry to be asking Jockot but do you mean 3 days with no food at all? 😩amazing how you can cope. Well done you. I wish l could.

Yes. No food what soever. I do have a little double cream in a coffee once a day, but that's it. It is actually very easy to go without food and the good thing is, on your eating days you can pretty much eat what you want.
