JockoT's Journal, 05 Jan 17

Not looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in. I have been doing okay, food wise, up until today, but I haven't moved my bowels for 3 days. Must be due to avoiding rubbish!
This evening's meal turned into a disaster. Because we were out we decided to split a fish supper. Fine so far. Madge decided on a portion of onion rings (never a big helping) but I decided to pass. However, while walking to the chip shop, I decided I would have a portion of mushrooms. Well I placed my order, only to be stunned when the guy piled about two dozen HUGE onion rings in the tray! The upshot of it all was I ended up with half the onion rings as well as my mushrooms. It was so much even I couldn't finish everything (remember, the fish supper was halved between us).
Not the ideal before weigh in day.

I'd say the supper is probably less of a contributor than the constipation If you're looking at tomorrow's weigh in ... which hasn't been done yet!! You might be worrying more than you need. I already know that what works for me doesn't work for you from previous discussions so I won't make any suggestions for relieving the constipation. I just hope it's over soon and you're back to a comfortable regularity very soon. All the best!

'I have a packet of strategic tea in the cupboard.... Its slimmer's tea. It has Senokot in. If I am bunged up, I have a cup of the tea before bed and hey presto, problem solved.

I used to just take the Senokot. We have something here made by Tradtional Medicinals that is called Smooth Move Herbal Tea. Maybe you can buy some in Amazon. Let it brew for about 10 minutes in a cup of hot water and sip it at night. Works like a charm for me.

I have sachets of Laxido, on prescription, which work eventually. I don't like taking them if I don't need to, so usually let a couple of days go by before starting them.

I'm sure you will be fine when nature takes its natural course. 😱Good luck for tomorrow's weigh in ✔
