I am disgusted with Formula One. After being a fan from an early age (my first heroes were Mike Hawthorn and Stirling Moss), I have decided NEVER to watch it again. Lewis Hamilton was not penalised for his first corner mistake and I could see why. If they had given him a 5 second penalty that would have been it all over. Nico Rosberg would have won and the remaining two races on the calendar would have been bounce matches. However, when Max Verstappen did the same, at the end of the race, he lost his third place to a 5 second penalty. Pure sh*te if you will forgive my French. Double standards.

You sound like you are in a buoyant mood .. Now I don't have a clue about F 1, but I see what you mean. Just sh...te... if you ask me as well!! Funny rules if you ask me. I cannot stand inconsistencies in rules, it really bugs me to hell. Giving it largesse like this, you sound much better. Grrrrrr. Take care and have a good day.

I didn't watch the race but read an article this morning. Definitely double standards. F1 seems to be forever shifting goal posts.

The double standards are annoying - witness also that Vettel made it to the podium as Max's penalty was applied before the presentation ... only to be given a heavier penalty of 10 seconds and 2 points on his racing licence for his transgressions, meaning that Ricciardo actually finished 3rd overall but didn't get the benefit at the time.

Rules in any arena are a just like the law. There to be obeyed, however race adjudicators just like legal judges don’t consider them to be absolute and as they have the latitude to interpret them as they wish tend to use them merely as guides. That gives rise to un-fairness and a lack of balance, we mere mortals see the resulting decisions as corrupt and just plain wrong. It’s life - don’t let the b******s grind you down. Shame them on F1 forums and continue to enjoy your sport.
