JockoT's Journal, 23 Jun 16

It is a beautiful morning, here in Kirkcaldy, and I am feeling quite perky. I am intending going out for a short walk today. I want to go down to my garage, and check that the car is okay, then perhaps visit the local shop with my wife.
The nurse will be in to change my dressing, this morning. It hasn't needed changed since she visited on Monday.
Today is the final day of my course of antibiotics, and I am going to try stopping the Tramadol, as of now. I will continue with the Paracetamol for a bit longer.
I woke up thinking it was Friday morning for some reason. A couple of years ago I bought my mother-in-law a clock which just shows the days. I think I need one of those myself!

I'm glad you have a beautiful morning - it is pouring with rain down here! Enjoy your walk and good luck with the paracetamol. It is easy to get the days wrong - we all do it :)

Nurse has just been in and she is delighted as to how well my wound is healing. The haematoma and its associated swelling has reduced considerable since starting the antibiotics.

Great to hear your good news from the nurse, and that you are feeling better and will get out and about to enjoy your beautiful weather :)

You sound so much better today I hope the whole day goes well for you! My dog and cousin are both on tramadol. 😀😀 one of the milder pain meds I've been told. Have a great day..

Went down to my garage but the car is dead as a Dodo. Not even enough juice to unlock the door. I then took a wander down to the shop. Madge carried the shopping, but I was still knackered by the time I got back. I can only walk VERY slow and was trying to keep up with her. Still, I have been out so that's a plus.

OH I am chuckling. ! I read your journal earlier and thought, the car is probably dead, then i thought your wife might have driven it, but i am too new to your story to know that. I have two cars, the second I hold on to because it doesn't cost me much and its a good home depo junker, and one car is always DEAD. So i bought a charger for $20 bucks and now, if i am not going to drive, I pop it on. Maybe you could get one of them if you can't jump it in the garage. Those batteries are heavy. Good luck!

Car shouldn't have been dead after a month but the Sat Nav keeps mysteriously switching itself on, and that must have done for it. My son-in-law will come along when I am ready to drive and give it a jump start. He is due to service it for me in the next few weeks, anyway. There is no power to my garage and battery is too heavy to carry up to the house.
