JockoT's Journal, 16 Jun 16

I went to see my doctor this evening. She is so nice. Given half a chance I would run away with her! Anyway.
I have a large Haematoma to the right of the wound. Until it breaks up and leaks out the leaking will continue. This could take months rather than weeks. There is a little inflammation surrounding the wound so she has prescribed antibiotics to help shift it. There is also Granuloma tissue, which she will remove, by cauterisation, once the wound starts healing.
She isn't in the least bit concerned about my weight loss. She reckons most of it has been fluid after 4 days on a drip. My difficulty passing water just needs me to up my fluid intake (I have done so today and I am much better).
My husky voice is just down to having been tubed up for the anaesthetic. She checked thoroughly, inside and out, and there is nothing untoward. However, if it continues she will have an ENT specialist take a look. I will go back and see her midway between now and my hospital appointment. Once I am back driving.
I was great getting out today.

Glad you got out and sorted out the issues you are having with your wound. Don't hesitate to let her know if you are worried about anything. It could be serious. You had a major surgery and then they just send you home to heal up. If you don't tell them they have no clue. Been worried about ya! Hugs!
