CatHerder's Journal, 19 Oct 15

Friday my legs were sore from the Thursday workout. I still went for my run at a slow pace, 5 miles in a little over an hour. I thought my legs were feeling pretty good until I tried to get back into my car afterwards. OMG was that painful! My legs were very stiff and sore. I took an extra day off of running on Saturday. Yesterday I only mowed half the yard to let them rest some more. This morning I did my sprints and my legs felt pretty good. I did 12 sprints, 30 sec fast 60 sec jog. I was definitely cold this morning though. I did a half mile warm-up which helped loosen me up.

Tomorrow will be leg day. That'll mean I won't try to run two days in a row after working out legs. Hopefully the soreness will fade although I don't know why it came back after taking only a week off. Maybe it's just a sign of age.

Still on a low carb diet. I don't think I'm in ketosis since my protein has been high. I should be good as long as I maintain my calorie deficit. I'll see how it goes for this week's weigh in and adjust as needed.

I hope everybody has a wonderful Monday!

I can identify with the leg pain, although mine seem to be doing better after giving them a break for a few days. Hope it gets better quickly, some time off should help.

I use magnesium - it really helps me avoid muscle pain.
