CatHerder's Journal, 14 Mar 15

Cardio last night. It was a pretty good session, lots of sweat. I did 20 minutes on the stairmaster at 50-60 steps per minute. If that wasn't enough I moved to the treadmill. I walked at 3 mph starting at 3 incline. I then increased the incline 3 every minute until I hit the machine max of 30. I stayed there for 2 minutes and then decreased by 3 every minute until I got back to 3. That was a total of 20 minutes. At that point I was done.

I over ate yesterday. I think my body is still getting used to the change in diet. Could have been all of the cardio. I also think it's still resisting losing more weight. I've been on a diet for almost a year now and at some point I need to stabilize my Calories to get my body to reset. I still want to lose the last 30 some odd lbs before I do that. I knew my body was going to resist. I just didn't know it was going to be this difficult.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Great exercise - maybe add a little bit of hand weight work to build muscle? That can increase your metabolism.

Thanks for the suggestion HCB. I usually do resistance/bodyweight/core with the trainer 3 days a week. I guess my concern is that I don't over-train and cause inflammation. I'll keep that in mind though.

Yup - I know what you mean with that, You are doing great with your high intensity interval work on the treadmill and that is really helpful for training your heart muscle and overall capacity. Glad the trainer is guiding you, too.
