Curiosity got the best of me and I bought a loaf of protein bread. Peculiar stuff. But I waste no food, zero desperdício.
Modified pork banh mi, made to go for an evening assignment.
Protein 27.5g 😭 (per half a sandwich)

Nooo mbuzz I don’t recommend it… protein bread is weird. Too filling and your stomach will feel heavy all day! I’m sticking with more conventional protein in the future.

Yfritz, when I was losing weight I used to buy protein bread . They were higher protein and lower in carbs. But well.. of course they were lower in carbs. The slices are tinier than the regular ones. I would rather have brown bread with tuna or boiled eggs. However, it is probably easier to get that amount of protein from a can of tuna. Meat leftovers make great sandwiches too!!

Paula when I saw your mince cake post, I thought about making meatloaf. This bread would be good with that. What I like about this bread is that it’s not very salty, so i can have fun with it. I’m usually not a sandwich person.

If you make fabulous food like this, you must post the recipe - dem de rules!! Looks great. Glad someone got out there and told us all protein bread is crap. I had been thinking the same about trying it, honestly lettuce leaf baps look and seem better once the filler isn't too messy :)

Bandrai thank you😭😭 protein bread is actually not that bad if you are trying to increase protein intake. I lost weight eating this bread because it fills you up quickly in a few bites. But again, if you are a picky eater… stay away from this bread, it’s rather weird😱 Nice seeing you again, hope you are doing well!

I bought some keto bread yesterday. I haven't tried it yet. I miss peanut butter and jelly sandwiches lol

Shertherapy, Google says keto bread has only 40 kcal. Peanut butter is like 90 kcal per spoon? Make that PBJ, eat it, and hit the gym! I went to the gym today without eating, and the result was dismal🥲
