chesgreen's Journal, 22 Nov 20

I've been looking for my readers for a few hours now. Has any one seen them? Oh well, time to buy another 3 pack of 1.75 magnification.

I am so proud of myself. It just took 1000 tries. In a few minutes, I will eat my breakfast, which happens to be my only meal of the day and this will be the 6th day in a row.

Yesterday's dinner, I wasn't so hungry but I ate it ALL. Today's dinner I will do the same (leftovers from yesterday) AND I've already planned out what I am eating tomorrow. ((Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance))

I've had wine every day this week. I've had apple pie, 1.25 servings of 70% coca chocolate bars with only 1 teaspoon of honey drizzled over it (combined has less sugar than other combos I've experimented with), microwave popcorn, chicken, salad, steak, shrimp, rice, potato, eggs, fish, bacon, snuck 2 chips off my wife's plate when she wasn't looking.

I ate whatever I wanted but I payed attention to my carbs trying to find a sweet spot that allowed the scale to move in the right direction.

Weekends in the past [[almost every weekend since June 2020]], the scale shot up like a bat out of hell. Easily, now that I've measured, I have to assume I was consuming over 600 grams total of carbs between Friday and Sunday night. This weekend I vowed to only eat 100 grams of carbs max per day and I must say, this is a livable number for me for now and I feel satisfied.

What a journey, what a year and again, has anyone seen my eyeglasses?
Cheers

Good job! 👍🏾 I am slowly trying to get to the point where I can stick to **any** diet commitment for more than 3 days. So you 6 days in a row? 🙌🏾

Thanks blackboat and Joelmel. Ade, you are a fasting beast and will be back in no time. Today’s eating window closed after 1 hr 20 min. Onto day 7 OMAD then I hope I can release the true beast which will be a 72 until thanksgiving day, followed up with OMAD on Friday, and OMAD again on Sat with fast food to break it then onto OMAD on Sunday and will go for a 3 or 6 day. Mixing it up. Ending 2020 strong!!!!

Looking good. Love that smile. How long does it take you to eat that 1 big meal? It seems to be working for you. I see you read one of my favorites Ken Follett. I am looking for the next book in the series I am on now The Evening and The Morning. His books have kept me sane during this pandemic. Keep up the good fight.

Weekends are hard for me, husband works so lots of free time and used to fill it with eating junk. I weigh in on Mondays now so that helps me be especially mindful of what I eat. (I don't think I've seen your glasses...but I could be wrong...lol)

I am blushing from the comments and have a huge grin from today, Monday's weigh in (I will do a separate journal for this) @madfoxmade - I try to keep my eating window to 2 hours. I read Eye of the Needle 6 years back and I would fist bump him if I ever met him in person. I need to finish this book before EOY 2020 but I usually read 3 books simultaneously which can get hectic at times but that is how I am wired. I am a fighter for sure!!! @Rckc - I can miss my wife even if she was sitting next to me. I guess that what 25 years of knowing her and her accepting all my quirks does to a fella. Replace junk foods with more protein if you can, this has been helping me plenty. I smile because I am in a good place or I am hiding some pain ((actually not true, the smile when hiding pain would look like the Big Bang Theory's [Sheldon's forced smile - google it if your not a fan] and you would know it))
