Draglist's Journal, 06 Oct 20

Woke at 228.4, down 5.3 from yesterday after a 36 hour fast. This is my lowest weight for months. And I discovered something fascinating. I have taken a break from working out for several days, mostly due to not getting up in time. That's the first time since the pandemic where I haven't worked out every morning. I hate to wonder this, but did I need more recovery? Were my cortisol levels too high from constant exercise? Unlikely, but the idea did pop into my head. No workout this morning (slept in) and starting with protein coffee. Weighed 228.6 at 4 pm. Online happy hour tonight but I will take it easy.

Nice job, Bill! I don't know about the science, but I really do think the body needs rest. Maybe especially since we aren't 20 anymore! 😁
