In Jan 2014 I put it out there in the FS universe. No comments, no support from my FS family.

No worries, I never gave up.

I found a group of fasters recently outside of FS.

Fasting for me is easier than counting calories. It is the ultimate test of self discipline.

This is how I finally achieved entering the Onederland World.

I did a 6 day liquid fast last week - water, coffee and wine. Went to work all 5 days and I was on top of my game in the office. My refeed Saturday evening was a approximate 2000 calorie delight.

I followed that meal with a 83 hr fast which ended yesterday morning and had around 3000 calories by the end of the day. Today is breakfast and dinner which will be around 3000 calories. Tomorrow and Sat will be dinner only each day then I will transition into a 48.

These are my methods for getting my calories lower and I will adjust if necessary.

I am here to stay!

Same as Becca said ;). Fasting isn’t for everyone but for some it works wonders. I myself fasted for years without realizing it. IF that is. Just skipped breakfast and ate a late lunch and on time dinner. 🤷‍♀️ worked for years and I didn’t even know what it was. I couldn’t ever do a liquid fast though as I hate bathroom trips and the more I drink the more I go lol. Every hour normally so you can imagine on an all liquid diet. You have more willpower than I to stick to fasting ;). Wtg again on your onderland achievement.

Thanks Becc and peeperjj. Last week's extended fast was purely an accident. What started off as a intended 48 turned into a 146 hour. If I only stayed with the 1 glass of wine while watching my wife eat dinner on Saturday evening, I could have made it to the 240 hr mark that I figured I would go for. I had a glass of wine and water at the 24, 72, 96, 120 marks and was going strong. Each daily glass felt like 4 glasses (naturally because I only had 2 coffees and 2 x 16.9 oz bottles of water in me for the day). Needless to say, I slept like a baby each night.

All I can say is wow. If it works, stay with it. As long as you are healthy

I've been here since 2008. I have tried almost all the diets. My latest one just filling up on healthy foods (veggies) and ensuring I get 1/2 hour of exercise in a day has worked the best. I have recently started intermittent fasting to get the last 5 stubborn pounds off. It has worked. We are here for you. Keep on fasting.

I wasn't here in 2014 but joined in 2017 and remember you from then! Glad to see you back. I feel there is lots of support here, but miss the "groups" where you would read posts from people in those groups. Lots of arguing about "how" to lose and what works, but I try to ignore that. Logging food is what helps me the most and the kind words from those who support me.

I remember you from 2016. I have always enjoyed your posts and sharing your journey. Good luck with your new WOE. BTW you look great in your new avatar.

When I joined in 2012, it was very quiet too. It’s always for myself but the supports and comments make it fun ☺️☺️☺️

Yeah that is how I lost my weight 👍🏾. People said I would gain it all back, but, in three months it will have been two years of averaging 170lbs (6 pounds above my BMI weight).

Great job! Fasting isn't for me, but I know it can work.

I have been a member here since 2012. I have always advocated healthy nutrition and sustainable ways of eating. Most of my journal entries are pretty boring and don't generate a lot of comments. I'm my biggest fan. I have seen several waves of popularity for different ways of eating here. They are all different ways to restrict calories. I'm happy to hear that you found a way that works for you. Congrats, I always cheered for you because I knew you could do it. I believe you will reach your new goal!!!

fasting seems like a really natural way to lose weight. I become some panicked crazy lady when I try to fast. I'm trying to just fast between meals...no snacks, even that makes me anxious.

I like fasting. Haven't been doing the best but need to get back on it. I've been stagnant for a while.
