Okay so Day 1 of Week 1 completed of Couch to 10k. The app worked really well on my phone. I listened to my music and it told me when to run and when to walk. It is only 30 minutes three times this week. Tomorrow is a 'rest' day and I will probably do the stationary bike.

DH and I have done the Peachtree Road Race in Georgia and we did the Bloomsday in 2011. Last year we registered for the Bloomsday, but we ended up moving that weekend and could not do it. in 2011 I mostly was doing the elliptical and would toss in a little treadmill occassionally. This year I have the Couch to 10K app to see how that works out for me.

So the results were 2 miles in 30 minutes. You warm up for 5 minutes and alternate running 1 minute and walking 1-1/2 minutes for 20 minutes and then another 5 minutes for cool down. So not too bad since I haven't been able to get out in the ice and snow here and my ellptical has been broken for awhile. I was a big ball of sweat...that is a good thing.

Good job Jaime, proud of you for being a big ball of sweat, bet your heart loved it! You'll be ready for a race in no time, training is the key and heck, you might even lose some weight along the way, what a bonus!

Thank you Sunkeeper. I am hoping that it will help move some of this weight...I feel like I have been bouncing for 10 days and it is frustrating.
