I'm so unmotivated. Usually when I gain a lot of weight I become motivated, but I really don't care... All I want is to eat carbs and sweet things. I can't get out of the sympathy loop, but it doesn't even feel like sympathy. I just don't care.

Morning! This sounds a lot like me! I want to eat sweet, high carb foods and then afterwards I feel terrible but then reach for another biscuit! I wrote a list of why I want to lead a healthier lifestyle and what the benefits will be to help remind myself of my goals :) you can do this 💪🏻x

This might not be helpful but there are sweet things you can eat that won't ruin your healthy eating. And no, I don't mean fruit. I found Skinny Whip in hole bargains, a pound for a box of five. Chocolate bars with a filling similar to a milky way but with little bits of popped rice in. Three different flavours (the strawberry ones are like heaven in a pink wrapper) and 99 calories per bar. No, they're not fat free or sugar free and I'm sure they have carbs or whatever. But they're a heck of a lot better than a mars bar or even an actual milky way. And it's chocolate so you feel like you're eating the naughty stuff but not actually being all that naughty

How about, if you are struggling with food, just start by changing one thing at a time, it could just be a lower sugar or fat version of something you already have? get a fitness watch maybe, and start by slowly increasing your step count. Thing is you don't need to rush in and change everything at once, one thing at a time and give your body time to adjust.

I know how you’re feeling, this week has been a tough one for keeping motivated and eating healthy, but keep reminding yourself of your goals and what you want to achieve. Try finding foods that satisfy your craving but aren’t completely unhealthy. Hopefully you’ll starting feeling better soon.

What else makes you feel happy, what other things do you enjoy? Maybe you could distract yourself from poor food choices by treating yourself to something else. I'm treating myself to a new hairstyle in the near future, do something just for you x

I sat and shared a 500g bag of tortilla chips with my partner the other night, not caring about the weight gain, it was just so good to have something I love after weeks of being good. Not too chuffed this morning to find I gained nearly two pounds this week. Damn.! :( Thank God it's a housework day, I might manage to work it off... :D

I’m in exactly the same rut. I tried to eat some protein because they say protein satiates the appetite but it didn’t work :( & I ended up giving in & overeating :’(. But tomorrow a new day & as long as we keep progressing forward then a bit of a slip up here & there shouldn’t be too bad in the end.

It’s weird. Due to my illness I have to eat 2000kcal minimum daily. I really struggle so I’m the opposite of you guys!!

Protein reduces appetite fact due to personal stuff, just vary it!!!
