I'm feeling really ill, my parents told me they're splitting up, my boyfriend is the other side of the country until Saturday. I feel pretty crap but I'm trying to stay below calorie target... I need to feel in control of something, and I'm hoping that can be my weight. But all I want to do is stop tracking calories for a day or 2, just relax into life and not worry all the time. But I find it so hard to stop... I need to know what I've eaten... But I deserve a break from my head and life... Right?

Think about what advice you would give to a friend in the same position. Sometimes we are kinder to other people than we are to ourselves.

I have been where you are. Your health is more important than anything at the moment. Be kind to yourself and take care without worrying about the diet.

You have to take it easy, there is no point of looking after you're diet if you're stressed out... Dieting should be a tool to make you feel good about you're self.. If you feel down just think that you have to smile because at the end of the day you are looking forward to meet you're inner goddess... Stress would never go away, loving you're self more will help you over come it.. X

So sorry your hurting. Please remember your parents are breaking up from each other not from you. They love you and always will. Give them your love. Love yourself and as others say give yourself a break.

Take a loot at the stoicism philosophy. It’s really helpful at times like this. I recommend the little book of stoicism for getting started.

Or, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Using food as a treat when down brings me back into a bad circle. Better to go for a massage or to the movies as a treat. Keep going 🤗
