sure! If it's for weight loss the best advice I can give would be to not drop your favourite foods and instead replace the foods you eat with healthier alternatives and slowly progress towards the change you envision. For example, instead of fried chips I instead boil/microwave/bake sweet potato. Change white grains for wholewheat as well as white to brown rice. Slowly train your tastebuds and dont force yourself to have something because its healthier, you might turn a one off into a binge! The only secret you have to know is that you just have to enjoy it. If there is something you don't like, each food group has a ton of alternatives, just takes a bit of time to experiment with them all. Also don't trust your scales for weight loss or gain. Lots of elements can cause inflamation and water retention which adds false weight. Pay more attention to the mirror, if you like what you see you're doing a good job :)
That might be answering a completely different question though but if you want more opinions I'm happy to offer some thoughts!

I keep my cooking as simple as possible, I fry onions and garlic in a bit of salt with fry light spray. Boil some water in a pot and add the lentils and quinoa with some salt until they are soft. Though split red lentils cook quicker than quinoa so might space them out. Then add the fried stuff in with some herbs, smoked paprika and chickpeas/beans that you like and you can let it reduce or have it as more of a stew or soup. Or add some spices, chili and call it a curry xD
