James, the portion I ate was 1400kcal!!! A killer 😂 but as I ate nothing else today it was ok overall.. the flour and oil make it this bad but so delicious! Not a mid week or a regular dish for sure

Tablet you can make it without sugar xx I didn't add any in the mix and you can replace icing sugar with honey so no need for artificial sugar. I was just being naughty and this is how is served traditionally x

No problem Tablet. 10g of dry yeasts, 300g of flour, 250ml of warm milk, 1 egg, pinch of salt, vanila essence to taste, 5 tbsp of warm water, 50g of raisin and 1 Apple. Dissolve the yeast in few spoons of milk, beat and leave to raise around 15 min, then make a whole in the middle of sived flour, add the yeast mixture, beaten egg, rest of the warm milk with vanilla essence in it, salt and water and mix. Once mixed a bit start adding small raisins and the Apple chopped in small cubes and mix well until combined. The mix should be a little liquid and sticky. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave to raise for 30min in a warm place. I warmed my oven to around 30 -40 degrees before hand, switched it off and put it inside to keep it warm. It should double in size, be less liquid and should be sticky. Then spoon mixture in pre warmed oil on a frying pan on a medium heat untied browned and flip. You can serve it with honey to sweeten them. They should be crisp on outside and fluffy in the middle. Hope you enjoy them and I hope I didn't forget anything!😂 oh and I live in Jersey, Channel Islands x
