Keilin_4's Journal, 15 Jan 19

Before holidays for me was easy to go trough the morning with empty stomach, just eating a light lunch, snacks and a big dinner with husband, lately I don't really feel hungry at dinner. I was thinking to start eating breakfast and lunch and snacks and skip dinner, I can be fine with that, I just want learn to listen to my body as I am trying to find my maintenance, this one is my third week with Daily Average of 1,700 calories if in the next couple of weeks I lose more weight I will add more calories to my daily intake

The thing is that yesterday I told my husband my weight 🤦‍♀️🙊, he never said anything about it before, because I don't look too skinny or underweight, I have muscles and fat but people get nuts when they heard that a person weighs 100 pounds. 🙄

As I didn't eat too much on the weekend with him, no dinner yesterday, he already told that I don't need to lose more weight, because if I get sick blah blah blah. He probably think that I have developed an eating disorder. 🤔😒

It's hard for some people to understand, especially if they aren't or haven't changed their way of eating. You're husband sounds like he's simply looking after you and thinks he is offering you help.

I think it's better to eat breakfast and skip dinner, but that's just my opinion. 🤔😊

I know, he has never commented about my weight, he has loved me before and after, I will have to go back to my old routine of saving calories for a normal dinners and weekends with him. I was just trying to have a normal diet as everyone else here, but it is a little hard when you have to share the table with others haha. I am less than half of him but he is also more than one feet taller than me.

Right now if I listen to my stomach I would skip dinner without problems, I am sleeping pretty good with empty stomach, but my husband is worried so I will have to eat dinner with him. Today I will eat breakfast, a light lunch and a big dinner. 😶

How tall are you Keilin? No real important reason lol, just curious about how short a person can be at 100 pounds and still have much of any fat or muscle -- especially both. You know, we tell our kids to listen to their bodies when it's time to go potty. Don't know why you shouldn't listen to yours for when it's time to eat. Personally, I've never been much on breakfast. It's the most reasonable meal for me to skip. But that's just me, it ain't for everyone!

Yes, I agree, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Before SUPERmarkets became a reality, grocery stores had ingredients for meals, primarily. And we ate a good breakfast and a good dinner, dinner being mid day, not end of the day. We need the calories during the day,not at night. I eat a HUGE breakfast, a large dinner before 2 or 3pm, and NOT hungry at night, might eat a snack, or last night I had popcorn. Keep listening to your body. Have a snack with your wonderful husband at supper time. :)

100lbs sounds very light, however, muscle tone, height, bone mass and many other variables come into play. I myself am over 200lbs, yet I wear a size 14/16, due to my dense muscle mass(calves that can kickstart a Harley😂) I appear much lighter.

It's easy to skip breakfast, yes, but the wrong thing to do according to nutritionalists, and any rare doctor that knows something about nutrition. starving all day? craving sweets? that's very likely from not eating enough in the morning. :) then stuffing at night? storing fat all night? hmm.

Vocatus, I am 5 feet tall, I don't really have too much fat, I feel pretty good with my currently weight but as my goal is to have a 8-6-4 pack I am planning to lose my last belly fat by eating at maintenance mode and through exercise . And I don't blame people for thinking that I am too skinny, I used to see everyone else around me too skinny when I was fat. Right now I have noticed that they were not too skinny, I was too fat, it's just a perspective. 💁‍♀️

For me it doesn't matter when I eat, I eat very little two days of the week and I eat a lot 2-3 days, the total calories at the end of the week is what matters. 1-6 meals per day, I have tried all and I don't see any difference between. What I discovered is that I can't eat less than 1000 calories for too long because I will stop losing weight. I only did a few weeks off 1200 calories last year, most of the time eating 1500-1700_1800.

Perspective -- ain't that the truth!

yeah, I'm working with a trainer at the YMCA who just shrugs when I say I'm just eating one meal a day. Calories in, calories out is his response lol

Alnona I can't tell you how much muscle I have haha, I think that I am looking better now (I have bigger legs) than 8-9 years ago when I was at this weight without trying, as I was not exercising either, now I exercise regularly.

What I have learned is that you can not go everywhere telling everybody that you are on a diet or how much do you weigh, they will not understand.

weight is really relative, you are building muscle and when you are happy with your shape and firmness that is the correct place for you to be

And yes, breakfast would be the most important meal of the day if we eat nutritious food , I love to eat sweets breads- cake, biscuits, etc. for breakfast haha
