Do you like it?

Does it speed up rice and beans? I know it'll speed up the chicken.

I need to learn how to use my wife's...

Oh, LZenn, it speeds up everything that takes longer to cook than it takes for this thing to pressurize and depressurize. My wife did two dozen hard boiled eggs -- which where some of the easiest peeling eggs I've ever worked with, by the way -- in the Instant Pot a couple weeks ago. she used a 5-5-5 recipe. 5 minutes pressure cooking (well, 5 minutes + the time to come up to pressure), then a 5 minute natural release before manually releasing the rest of the way, then a quick soak in cold or ice water for 5 minutes. We went from 2 dozen raw eggs to deviled eggs sitting in the fridge waiting for the Christmas dinner the next day in less than an hour, I would say.

Cooking my beans right now, I will let you know later... it's my first time using this thing 😱

Beans are the best!

Beans are ready, it took 35 minutes to cook and about 5-8(not really sure) minutes to start. I am a little scary using it but I will get used to it 😀

nothing to be scared of. You're gonna love that thing!

Rice is ready too. And the chicken was cooked yesterday in the oven, so my lunch is ready 😋🤗

Thank you, Vocatus! 😀

just wait until you want some chicken, so you cook chicken from frozen to plate ready in 20 minutes or less (yes, that includes time to pressurize)

I don't recommend websites very often, but for really detailed, step by step recipes I strongly recommend This Old Gal. Most of the recipes are not terribly healthy, however, the detailed instructions are a good way to learn how to gain confidence in using your new toy... I mean tool... then you can make adjustments that fit more into your way of eating.

I was terrified of it, but now I cook with it all the time. It actually inpires me to cook rather than go out. if you eat hard boiled eggs, I just discovered that this is the most exciting way to cook them. (If there can be an exciting way to boil and egg haha)

I think that this is a great tool, specifically when you are don't have enough time to cook and you are hungry, or for cook for a party, for weekly meals prepping, etc.😊 This was a present from Santa, next thing I will have is a Air fryer.
