And we are now in Day 5, coming down the home stretch of the horrible fat fast. I cannot wait to eat actual food again. . .but i know i have to wait, just until tomorrow night. I don't think I've ever been so excited about a meal of steak, creamed spinach, and mushrooms as I am about tomorrow's supper! :) This whole fat fasting thing has been so food-boring that I've spent silly amounts of time obsessively planning out next week's meals just to reassure myself that I get to eat fun stuff again soon. Atkins "fat fast" is certainly not for foodies -but boy does it seem to be effective. I won't do another official weigh in until tomorrow, but this morning the scale was down to !132.3!, we'll see what it says tomorrow-and most importantly, what it says Sunday when the water weight has been regained. I'm hoping for a 'real' 2 lb fat loss from 5 days of fat fast to make it worth it, but we'll see. On an unrelated note -I've stocked up for the primal blueprint diet next week -from whole foods. Grass fed cream cheese is $4 a box. $4! pastured eggs are almost $6 a carton. egads. At the end of this i'll probably be thin and healthy, but maybe too broke to buy new clothes. oh well :)

Whoo hoo! 4 lbs lost in 4 days. Ok, ok, i know almost 3 lbs of that is water (thanks to my handy bodyfat measuring scale) but that means a little over 1 lbs of that loss is fat! Good riddance. I expect I'll gain some of that water back as soon as I stop the "fat fast" on Friday -but it will be worth it to be able to eat a wider variety of healthier food on the primal diet. I've given myself until May to get to my goal fat loss (which is about 20 lbs of fat to lose, alot, but i have a VERY cute summer dress I haven't been able to fit into in years now hanging in the front of my closet, which is motivating). Given all that time, i can move into a healthier more moderate diet soon and still make it. I joined the "1 lb" a week challenge starting soon, but worry it will be more like only .5 lb week for me, we'll see. I know that it is a marathon, not a sprint . . .but gotta say, starting with a sprint is kind of fun :)
