Don't dare to weigh myself.. am pretty sure I'll be over 90kg. Part of the reason is that my new office building has a cake shop. The rest of it is the continuing lack of regular exercise.
Still, forcing myself to Parkrun every weekend even though I'm 20 seconds per mile off my normal pace, and I finally went for an evening run tonight (again 20 seconds/mile slower than my usual evening run, but at least I did it so that's an achievement).
Half-marathon the other week went OK. Coolest medal in my collection, so it was worth the days of not being able to walk down stairs and the black toenails.

So a weight gain is no great surprise..
Been feeling crappy with tonsilitis that has taken weeks to get over. The worst part was having no motivation at all to do any exercise, particularly in the cold and dark, and that symptoms seemed to get worse if I tried anything cardiovascular.
My diet has also taken a hit as I've been at home feeling sorry for myself, although I think the good habits learned over the past six months or so have meant I've been eating better than I was even though I'm not trying so hard now.
Anyway, the good news is I completed a Parkrun today without incident. Ran 5K about 90 seconds slower than my early January time (just before I got sick), which is OK.
The bad news is I have a half-marathon next weekend, for which I have done very little preparation, and it's been 10 years since I last ran that distance! But if I don't feel too bad I'll jog round it as a kind of training run and refocus on another race later in the year.
