31 years old and with weight issues since I was a kid. I've always been an extreme person, all or nothing and that has reflected in several areas of my life: academic, personal, work and, obviously diet and weight.
2008:
When I was in highschool I had my first weight loss journey. I went down from 85kg to 65kg. Extreme diet, extreme cardio. I was coming home from gym and before hoping in the shower I was doing some more exercises home.
2011:
Then I went to college and I don't know how and when but 120kg happened. So I did what I knew better, extreme diet, extreme workouts. I had days when I was running for 2 hours straight. I went down to 78kg. My plan was to maintain for a few months and then continue to drop until 56kg.
2019 November:
However, in reality, due to several personal events, which weren't very pleasant, I've reached slowly and steady 138kg. This was a new record, which scared me and forced me thinking about my health. So I've started seeing a therapist and subscribed to a daily keto meals delivery. A bit expensive but at that time I found it very good to control my urges to binge. I've lost 6kg in 2 months and, unfortunately my job again. So I've stopped the shrink meetings and the keto subscription and while looking for a new job I began to binge again. Then the pandemic started and it only made it worse.
2020 June:
I've registered my record of 148kg. In the last 1.5 years I've gained 23kg. 10kg gain in only 6 months. The moment I've seen that number on the scale, it felt like my world collapsed. I've suddenly started worrying about my health and began a 1000 calories/day diet.
It was difficult for me even to walk and I had this pain in my right side of the abdomen. I was too scared to go even to the doctor.
I've lost until know 9kg and I did went to the doctor. My liver is not very well, it's covered in fat. I'm not sure if this happened due to the keto diet (last year I was ok) or the liver just ceased in. Anyway, here I am once again.
