I am a 55 year old biomedical scientist. I wasn't always fat. I used to be fit and and at my ideal weight but, as I got older and my career took up more of my time, I let things slide. Then I became hypertensive and developed type II diabetes so losing weight and following a healthy diet became an imperative. Let this be a warning. I have nobody to blame but myself.
