I am a 39 year old twice married mom of 3, 2 boys ages 21 and 7, and a daughter who is 18 with cerebral palsy. I work in retail for a well know Pharmacy chain. I have for most part of my life been a little overweight at times. But recently in the past few years I have become slightly obese. I am 5'2" and currently 158 pounds. I have high cholesterol and I am borderline diabetic. I am always on my feet due to my job, but I am a lot slower due to the pain in my feet and joints. I have been dealing with a high stress situation lately, and by dealing with it I mean with comfort foods. In the store I work in, all we have is junk food, or things to offer that are high in carbs. I try hard everyday not to indulge in these bad for me habits, but normally I fail. I am ready to get back in control of my body, my life, and most of all my emotions. I know I am not the only one with food issues, but for the most part I feel alone. Which is why I came to this site, to get ideas to help me cope with stress instead of binging constantly.
