chesgreen's Journal, 29 Sep 17

Happy Friday. This is a long but important journal entry.

Types of people, who/what are you?
1) The clueless
2) Those who know but don't do (they are no different than #1, they just sound smarter.[ I said this in a journal approximately 1 year ago. Your excuses are the only thing that is between you and your goals])
3) Those who just do and keep doing even if they are not getting the results they want (Wheel spinners)
4) The elite. Those who document, analyze the data, make changes if not getting the desired result or continue on their path if they are getting the results they seek.[I call this the try, fail and adjust if necessary])

As my journey unfolds, I expect to keep you entertained because I am human, prone to moments of weaknesses. I must warn you however, that these moments of weaknesses(A.K.A excuses) will become less and less as I improve my critical

thinking by:
#1 reading books that I buy (any spectator can copy paste from the www) I on the other hand, I've got my health at stake and spending my $$$ puts me on the playing field.
#2 my associations with like minded individuals (even if you follow another way of eating outside of mine, this doesn't mean can't have certain traits in common that creates a powerful bond), and finally
#3 the most important of them all .... THE ACTIONS I TAKE AND THE ANALYSIS OF THEM!

My body my rules. I will get there. I will WIN!!!

Short term goals getting below 200 Lbs (I am X pounds away. Fat, get off my body. I command you to LEAVE this vessel!!!)
Plan: Reduce my carb intake. 1st, I have to determine what my daily average of net carbs for one month by logging everything to create a baseline.

Execution: Completed baseline measurement in Aug 2017. 102.65 Net Carbs was the daily average. With this number, I decided to reduce the intake by 40% to bring me to an average of 61.2 daily net carbs that I can consume.

Progress: as of 9/29/17, I have logged everything for the past 59 days. My current daily avg of net carbs is 66.12 (Guess what, I screwed up 2 ways:
1st - FS in the monthly views, only shows you your carb avg NOT your net carb average which is there is a significant difference in the fact that fiber is not factored in just your carb intake hence the need for a net carb category [by the way, the # I should have been using is 91.09.
2nd - my spreadsheet numbers were predicated on the 102.65 carb value as opposed to the 91.09 net carb value and as a result, my plans/actions were off. These screw ups are powerful teaching moments. As of today, 9/29/17, my daily net carb average is 66.12 which is only a 27% reduction from the Aug baseline # of 91.09. I will take this! How could I reduce or make changes if I wasn't aware of what I was doing? #WINNING

Future: I will reduce my current average of 66.12 NC by 45% to 36.37 in the month of October. I believe a 45% this # to be doable because between Tue and Thu of this week, I averaged 1047.67 calories, 75.90 fat and I have been feeling really
full and I am not a sedentary individual. (If for some reason I miss this goal, guess what #1, I am getting better and better each day and #2 I wont make the same screw up with my plans and actions based off of the wrong info)

Mid Term goal: Working on these. For now, just taking names and kicking a$$!!!

Go FS Team, GO!!!! The struggle is real, but becoming a better person is priceless.
