chesgreen's Journal, 12 Sep 17

It's the right place and the right time for and extended fast. The 1st 7 days of the September, I averaged 82.70 net carbs (3 of the days under 35 net carbs). The last 7 days (9/5 - 9/11) , I averaged 50.17 net carbs (5 of the days under 35 net carbs). Both Sunday and Monday of this week, I didn't have any processed carbs / sugar cravings and I am surrounded by plenty of them in the office and at home.

My prior extended fasts, I struggled a bit within the 1st 24 - 48 hrs because the fasts were preceeded by high carb days. This time, my blood sugars appear to be stable (which explains the lack of evil cravings) and re-listening to The Complete guide to Fasting by Dr. Jason Fung and Jimmy Moore has got my head in the game and I am in it to win it.

Off I go.... (actually, I am already 12 hrs and 24 min into this Extended Fast)

Well Chesgreen, I was just writing a fairly detailed comment to you, lol 😂, which you have previously experienced, when it disappeared 👻. Lucky 🍀 you. I'll be more concise. How long will you fast? Are you continually in ketosis? How low do you keep your carbs? Do you restrict your protein and fats or have a minimum intake of each? I'm on the low end of the learning curve. Just keep drinking!

To all, I am a student in this game called life. I am only standing on the shoulders of the giants in FS who have paved or are paving the path and also learning from the bold medical professionals who shifted focus from addressing the symptoms with prescriptions and injections to actually treating the underlining causes via optimal nutrition.

Ches, you are quite eloquent my friend, and you are one that inspires, but as a FS WS buddy, I have to say this..... SHOW us the results! I'm confident that you shall show results, but for those that are wondering, set their mind at ease! Preach it brother, and come forth with results! You got this and you're starting to OWN it! Challenge for you.... find another way to inspire me MORE! Damn! I love this place!

Hell yeah bro. I like the pressure. I got home @ 6:45 PM, stripped off my clothes got on the scale and howled like a hound dog when I saw that # (Yes, I'm a little crazy). Seriously dude, I could have been where I needed to be long time ago but I am a mere mortal and I am flawed. I will make y'all proud for sure.
