So, went to the doctor yesterday. It was a good experience. I was fasting and she drew lipids, CRP, D levels, thyroid function tests, copper, zinc, a basic metabolic panel, and a urine test. Everything was good, but my BP was a little high at 128/90.
Am going back in three weeks. Meanwhile, she wants me to walk 15 minutes a day and start fish oil and magnesium supplements.
Then, on the way home, I bought some junk food and had a 3,000 calorie binge. It was an impulsive decision, and I didn't want to deal with the anxiety of staying strong, if that makes sense. I wanted to eat it and manage the regret later. I used to do this all the time, but, now, it just sort of makes me feel physically ill. Like, I wonder how messed up my body was that it didn't make me feel sick BEFORE?
Am headachey right now, but ready to start cooking for that family event I should have said "no" to. Am not doing this anymore. I hope that sometime between now and 1:00 p.m. I can summon up feelings of love and sharing to replace this resentment.
So, now that I ate garbage myself, I am OK making my tried and true recipes that all contain sugar. Down the road are ketogenic recipes, xylitol, and coconut flour. Today is BBQ ribs, broccoli salad, corn bread, cheeseburgers, veggie sticks, water, and Blue Sky soda. Plus beans, brownies, pasta salad, spaghetti bake, and fresh fruit. And bottled water.

Some test results are back. I am Vitamin D deficient. My potassium is below normal. HDL is low. My CRP is in the high risk range for cardiovascular disease.
