Really??? Not fair!
I ate 2 low carb tacos with cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and hot sauce for breakfast and they added over 500 calories to my daily total :( The cheese added so many calories but aren't we told NOT to buy low fat cheese on low carb diets? I'm confused...as usual.

As long as you are losing I wouldn't worry too much. I would exercise some portion control on cheese. I love it, but it is high in calories.

I have always been told when doing low carb to not count calories. It does not give you a licence to over eat but it is adding to many carbs that causes you to not lose.

And?? Low carb is low carb...NOT (thank goodness!) low calorie. You should be between 1500-1800 calories. You are totally within range so enjoy and feel no guilt. :)

Thanks...I set my RDI to 1200 but try to be under 1500. Crazy how much effort it takes to get rid of this nasty fat! (It's like a 2nd job) @suzy, Say Budgies!!!

I worry more about carbs than calories. Calories do count of course, but it seems that I lose based more on the carbs I take in. Don't get discouraged!

I find it's calorie total regardlesso f carbs/fats etc that works for me - I think we are all different and need to discover our magic weightloss secret (sadly it's always "eat less stuff")

Does low fat mozzarella have less carbs? Do you think it could be substituted in place of a yellow cheese. Personally, I like all cheese....so I'd be fine with the mozzarella on my taco.

Cheese has few carbs, its the calories that seem so high to me since I watch my carbs AND calories. Low carb frowns on all low fat products but I think all the fat is what stops me from craving sweets and prohibited foods. Hard to Win, Easy to Forge On.

You are doing great and cheese is a killer, it taste so good I think they lie about how many calories are in it.

I've been using Swiss as it is low in sodium and cals. 1/4 C goes along way!! Sometimes I half that😉
