Looks like the 16:8, strict counting and reduced carbs has made a difference. All I need is the weather to improve so I can get back cycling. I'm a happy bunny this morning.

A few years back I tried Paul McKenna's "I Can Make You Slim", and found it worked. As long as I listened to the motivation tape, daily. Well, I came across the book yesterday, so I dug out the old mp3 player that had the tape recorded on it, and listened to it this morning. It certainly won't do any harm!!

Tomorrow is going to be difficult. We have a butcher's ("homemade") steak pie to take over to Mum, for a Mother's Day dinner. With roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and asparagus.

Weighed my portions out, before leaving home. Squeezing in below RDI. Apple instead of Raspberry Roulade, unfortunately.

We had a lovely meal. The only fly in the ointment was the apple I took with me, in place of the roulade, was rotten in the middle. I find Morrisons fruit very hit and miss, so much so I usually try to avoid buying it there.

Well done, a great feeling to get moving again - on the bike and on the scales. Shame about the apple. I had potato for the first time in ages. That pushes the carbs up into overload really fast.....
