YES!! I struggle with this. This is my default when I am stressed and try to go into "dieting mode" to fix what's going on. It's crazy! I have been on diets since I was around 8 years old and can't begin to count the number since then so it is programmed into my head that when I am not feeling well emotionally, I need to deprive myself by being perfect.

Excellence vs. Perfection. Great food for thought. They often go together. We are perfect (as can be) when we are excellent. Contentment and satisfaction helps, no matter what.
