urrrggghhhh

WHY? WHY? WHY?

Sometimes I could get just so mad at the food and pharma industries!!!

Why do they need to add lactose to so many things? Is there a point? Is there a need???

My body knows immediately/ well usually the next morning/ if I accidently consume anything dairy. I raked my brain on what I had yesterday. Then I picked up the little bottle of arnica tablets which I took as my muscles still hurt( I had 6 over the whole day). They contain LACTOSE!!!! And so do the ibuprofen tablets.

Lesson learnt: if it has a label - read it!!!!

I quite agree ...These industries have gotten so big and powerful that they sell for profit only and do not care otherwise

That does seem strange, why add lactose to a pain reliever?

It's what they use as a carrier for the medicine as it's stable. Loads of medicines (I'd even say most) contain lactose... info here if you are interested http://www.stevecarper.com/li/lactose_in_medications.htm very few people have problems with it, unfortunatley it seems you are someone that does.

Thank you Tatmummy. Just had a look. A very interesting site. Yes I do have mega problems with any type of dairy :( I keep on thinking my body knew that way before I figured it out: I never liked milk even as a child and my mum would despare. I had to drink milk to grow properly. LOL I turned out to become the tallest in my family without it :)
