Why am I craving brussels sprouts? I had them at thanksgiving, ate the leftovers, had again and am still wanting MORE! I COULD eat my whole carb allowance for the day with 'em. Also cabbage! Why am I thinking about cabbage?!?!?!

I think it has something to do wit this lifestyle. I've ALWAYS hated veggies, but am beginning to crave them. Maybe it's the magnesium in them that we crave..idk

I don't know why you're craving brussel sprouts... but it sounds like you've gone over to the dark side. Brussel sprouts... BLAH... LOL

I'm also amazed how I crave water (which I used to hate too) with this lifestyle. Do you have the same "problem", Rckc?

Traccie- I know, right? It does kinda feel that way but I took the suggestion of soaking them to rid of bitterness, then cook with bacon garlic nuts onion, or whatever you want. I love them! Jenny- I try to drink at least 1/2 gallon a day but I have to add flavoring to it. I flavor a 1/2 gallon and put in fridge and hope it's gone by night time. It's hard for me to remember to drink tho, cuz I don't really feel thirsty. We just recently got an alkaline water machine so have been doing better...

I think I might be thirsty all of the time due to my high sodium intake.

I haven't tracked my sodium. I do use pink himalayan salt, tho

Try cutting fresh brussel speouts in half lengthwise. Saute some minced garlic in butter and olive oil till it starts to brown, remove the garlic and set aside, put the brussel sprouts in the pan cut side down, cover and cook on low until they're browned and tender. Add salt/pepper, add the garlic back, add cooked crumbled bacon, it's delicious!

Brussel sprouts are my favorite! So, I cut them in half and mix with olive oil and fresh garlic, then put them on a cookie sheet cut side down - and roast in he oven at 350 for about 30 minutes! Crispy, sweet, healthy deliciousness!
