Well it's Movember fellas, and guess what appointment I have today... My maternal side of the family has had cases of Prostate Cancer, so better safe than sorry... I was also a Mountain Bike enthusiast, and my riding partner of several years has had Prostate Surgery, since improperly setup or cheap bike seats can also contribute to an enlarged Prostate. I am already on Prostate Meds, so hopefully there will be no changes in my exam today. If you are Male and over 40... please get checked... it isn't thrilling or glamorous, but it can be a life saver.

My husband has terminal prostate cancer. Got it at a young age - too late to cure.

Sorry to hear Morticia... if it weren't for yearly checkups it would have killed my Uncle... he had a very aggressive type, so they really moved things along for him.

@Jenjabba... I have to laugh about that comparison... have heard it many times over the decades. yes Women do have to deal with sucky invasive exams... but it is usually in a cavity that is designed for penetration, the cavity we get examined is an outtie only, NOT designed for penetration. Fortunately the nerve damage in my spine, makes it nearly imperceptible.

No comment. That's a horrible analogy. Men will never get it.
