johnnycajun57, that is a tough, required so much skill and strength job! All the respect! I've seen the transformation a good ferrier can make in the life of a lame horse. I've been trained to do trimming a bit, but gosh I was too scared to mess something up so never had the courage to do it without very careful supervision. After my fifth kid joined the family, I simply didn't have time to do much more than be devoted to them. Then I got fat. I'm not now and I don't have a pack of kiddos, but I have work and a bunch of people who still need me. But, I'm trying to make room. The pain never goes away for us horse people deprived of an outlet! Happy trail s!
