D00dle's Journal, 17 Jul 23

Got my shopping list all planned for tomorrow. Fingers crossed none of the special offers have ended, else I'll be picking and choosing between one essential and another. Cost of living is destroying me at the moment. I'm semi-convinced I've only decided to get back on track with my eating to save a little money on the snacks. Anyhow, sausage and chips for tomorrow (baby potatoes seasoned and thrown in the airfryer, so good!), then chicken tikka masala Wednesday (currently my absolute favourite fakeaway. Literally takes less than 20 minutes) and then dirty fries for Thursday! Assuming, of course, that I can afford everything I need :( I'll always choose my daughter's needs over my own, so I'll probably end up with munch bunch instead of potatoes lol! Ah well

Ah Booty, it's bloody tough. It's genuinely scary at times isn't it? Heather, it's cheaper to make my way to the shop than it is to pay the delivery charges. I'm in the situation where every spare penny is earmarked for two different things. I just use the online shop to build and price my list and stick to it religiously

Especially when ur still trying to make sure the kids aren't losing out on anything too, it's a struggle for sure! Have you got the Too Good To Go app? Download it and see if there's anything in ur area, it can be a real lifesaver, lots of businesses have joined it now, the stuff that would be thrown out at the end of the night are put in 'magic bags' that u can buy for around £3 ❤️

Oh I have tried that! It was all a bit too spread out for (I don't drive and my nearest shops are a good half an hour away) but I might download it again, see if maybe anything new has been added
