Rough day today. This is the last time I will announce my fasts ahead of time. Hubby is so supportive, though. He said, "You don't have to keep it going. The point is you have the freedom to eat when you want to." I said that I told Jason Fung in writing that I was joining him on this 3 day fast and it was important to me I follow through. Later I said, "This is really tough." He replied, "You can do it. You've done it before."

Hi, Zena! I just read your last few journal posts. I also watched Dr. Pradeep Jamnadas and Dr. Jason Fung on YouTube. Fung has a more recent video geared toward other doctors where he diagrams the problem of energy balance in calorie restricted diets. I regret I didn't bookmark it and need to find it again. It completely clarified to me how I dieted and rebounded my way up to 300 lb. I noticed your comments are turned off. There is generally not much support here for extended fasting, but plenty here practise time restricted feeding and eat-stop-eat (OMAD). Thanks for the support 🙂

I am trying some extended fasts, coupled with time restricted eating & keto. I watch a video last night where Dr. Fung was saying that he started out recommending the LCHF diet, but some of his patients couldn't wrap their heads around it so he started just putting them on a fasting regime instead. I've had great success with Keto before, being that it curbs hunger greatly. Although the last time I tried it, not so much. I think it is because I was buying "keto" bread and also lots of other "keto" processed products & was using artificial sweetners. I've cut all of that out as well. I do still allow for bacon, cheese, and grass-fed butter though. 😊

It's wonderful to have a spouse who is supportive! You can do it!!
My husband never once complained about my weight when I was heavy and he was a great cheerleader while I was trying to lose 60 lbs. I'm in maintenance now and he still is a great support! 👍

Lady-you’ve got this. Trust me we have all had days like this. Don’t forget about liquids tho may help curb. Can you have bone broth when fasting? May help also.

Diana, my husband is the same. We are blessed in that regard! YOH, it's good practice to keep bone broth around, and I have some pork and beef bones in the freezer that I will plunk into a pot of water right now! Thank you for the suggestion 🙂
