Food plan is stir-fry today. But I have an issue

I have an induction stove top and I do not like it for frying. I am new to it so maybe there is something I am missing. It does things like eggs and bacon just fine but if I want to fry something to brown it (as for the pork for the stir-fry) I have an issue. The frying pan bends and the fat runs to the side.

Can this be avoided with technique or a new frying pan or what.... any experience out there?

I use stainless steel and also cast iron on my induction cooktop, although cast iron is not as 'quick' or intense as stainless steel. The pan doesn't have to be magnetic or in any way special, but it has to be magnet susceptible. If your pan is bending it is cheap and thin. Too thin for the aggressive heat that's coming at it. Get something better, but not copper. Copper does not respond to magnets at all. :)

The pans I have are made for induction (they are oxo) but yes I guess for high heat I will need something better. Good to know. I will look into it. Wok would have to be an electric one but not sure that would be ideal either.

The stirfry was nice! Even if the searing was not quite to my liking. OK I am making a new christmas wish list!

Making a note for myself: Maybe a Cuisinart professional stainless steel skillet. MCP22

You should also google "induction hob adapter“ which is a thick induction- compatible metal disk that sits on hob transferring heat thermally to non-compatible pans.
