Happy Monday!

Today is a busy day getting ready to leave for an 11-day trip to Florida. We made these plans about a month ago and since we made the (non-refundable) reservations GoodMan had surgery to remove a melanoma on his leg. Last week the surgical site became severely infected. For a while we thought he'd have to be hospitalized. Thankfully, the antibiotics have finally begun to work and he has been cleared to travel. I'm still a little anxious about how he's doing, but he's determined to go, so the trip is on.

We will be at Disney World for the first 4 days without a car so I have been making homemade protein bars and other meal replacements to take with us. We have meal reservations each day at the park, but our hope is to eat healthy meal replacements for the remainder of each day. I'm hoping the extra walking will provide the exercise I need to replace the hour of elliptical I usually do at home. But even if I don't get as much exercise and I'm unable to eat exactly the way I'd like, I'll be happy to spend time with GoodMan...health scares put time with him as my number one priority!

I'll check in here as I'm able and I'll weigh in when I get home. As I sit here looking out my window at snow that is 3-feet deep, I'm excited to spend some time in warmer weather!
