Happy Thursday!

Finished up my 82 minutes (21 miles) on the exercise bike and ate breakfast, next up is a shower and then off to get a mani-pedi and then out to see my former co-workers at the eye doctor's office. They are having an "Eyewear Expo" today. They invite frame reps to come and set up tables, then invite patients (and retired co-workers) to come and pick out new glasses from a huge selection. There are discounts involved so I hope to find a pair of regular and a pair of sunglass frames.

Today was measurement day for me. I lost a total of 7 pounds and 6 inches since my last measurement day on 10/13. I see a difference in the mirror, but wish there was more of a difference in my clothes. I have been doing a little soul-searching to figure out what my true purpose is in this lifestyle change. I think I can honestly say it is about 50% vanity. That other 50% is a combination of wanting to avoid health issues and wanting to FEEL good...To be able to move around in my body in comfort...to have energy to do the things I want...and to feel less "out of control". On the days I get disappointed about the lack of size-change all I have to do is think about the difference in my stamina, flexibility, and outlook and I realize changes are being made.
