Lemon poppy seed. The cake was nice and moist, but it was the frosting with fresh lemon juice and zest that made it a winner. :) For Sk! I had to post something I actually liked from the party food I made. :)

Thanks, everybody! I do love this cake! It is so filled with good flavor! Thankfully, I had lots of people to eat it, or I would have been tempted to have far more than I needed! 😁

Erquiaga, I have never used poppy seeds for anything other than this cake, I must explore other outlets! 😁

Fantabulous! Love citrus zest and juice. Life changing events this fall - 1st bought a new razor sharp zester that make zesting fun!. 2nd, inspired by Mexican friends to get a lime juicer, works like a garlic press with two halves joined by a hinge. Put half a lime in cut side down and crush it. Gets out all the juice in a second with no seeds. Limes can be so hard and small that juicing on a traditional conical juicer/strainer gadget is a chore. I use it for lemons, too. Have to cut them in quarters if they're too big.
