Wow Shirfleur, that’s the compliment I want, I am shooting for the mother, not grandmother look now!💪👍💕 What horrors it would have been if I was the mother and they thought I was the grandmother, I surely count my blessings!!!!! Yep!!! I am shooting for the mom look!😁❤️

Oh Skydiverjim, my husband and I try to out wit each other, but he knows when to be silent. It is being full of wonderful emotions that make you feel so blessed and alive, but there is always the maddening part of life, which has my husband retreating to the garage at times. He says it’s because I am French, but I tell him never forget that French truly is the language of love!!! I am getting older though and little upsets me anymore, so now he retreats to the garage to work on his fishing gear.😁 Stay safe on your trip, and enjoy!👍

My Becky,❤️ thank you!!! I am never called a hot mess because I take an hour to just look like a mess!😆 I’ve reached the age where looking in the mirror is like checking the news. I know there’ll be some new developments I won’t like.😁 Blessings!🌺

Love that Shrew— I look in the mirror and sometimes wonder who is that? Then I remember it is a girl who has lived 73 years of a crazy life and survived it all. Then I smile and proceed to brush my teeth.

DP, you guys enjoy your youth, it goes by so quickly, it’s like being in the Twilight Zone!! I swear, absolutely swear, I just said Happy New Year, and a freaking month has already gone by!!😕 I’d like to say I’m ageing like fine wine, but in my case, it’s more like a fine banana!😩 Enjoy your Saturday. 💕🌺 I am off to work!🙁

Fine banana. 😂😂 Could be worse. I'm aging like milk.

Kenna, 😆 you have lived life more than most, and have seen more than most, and have been able to retain so much. I stay in my science field and read, read ,read, but retain little and have lost so much!😕 There are worse things than getting old. Not getting old being just one of them. Nevertheless being old is a tough gig. Like an old car, everything starts to wear out and it all seems to happen at once. That’s life unfortunately, and we just have to get used to it. 😩 I look in the mirror and realize even my teeth have aged! Brother! I guess old age isn’t so bad when you consider the alternative.😁🌺

Thanks 2Melons! I am very blessed for my husband is full of humor and the gal in the office next to mine is also funny. When I am mad at something going on at work, I go in her office and come out laughing! 👍🌺

I needed this right now.

Andrew you’d be already gone if you were milk here, no aging. I drink it by the gallon,😁! Part of my calories, I don’t always record. I go through fast food and get milk.🙃 I drink too much cow milk in one moo-ve!!😆 My milk drinking is legion-dairy!🥛😆💪👍

Danana, I wanted you to know my husband had kidney stones. Most are made out of calcium, yet they couldn’t see his on X-rays as he had his stones made out of protein also. I remember thinking what is going on… he just was eating unbelievable amounts of protein, in fact, he was in line for a steak sandwich when he keeled over from pain. Came home and keeled over in a corner, I took him straight to the ER where they couldn’t find anything. He was in so much pain! I think they gave him morphine because he was in such pain. He said that was seventh heaven! It took over a week to eliminate it once they realized it was stones of protein. He never did that again! Protein yes, but overdoing anything can cause problems. I hope yours weren’t as painful.💕🌺

I am so sorry to hear about your husband. Kidney stones are more painful than childbirth. The most important thing for him to do is hydrate. It helps to put lemon or lime in his water. I had gotten lazy about doing that. The citrus helps keep stones from forming or at least keeps them small enough to pass. My last was too big and required surgery. Good luck yo hubby.

Shrew- I love that you talk like I am in my 20's when I'll be 50 in the blink of an eye. 😊❤️

Shrewdness you're hilarious 😁 Right now, we're all older than we've ever been and younger than we'll ever be. (I had a teacher say that and it's all I can remember from his class.)

Shrewdness, the kidney stones that are non calcium stones are typically made of Uris acid which is a byproduct of protein metabolic . High protein diets reduce the amount of citric acid in the urine— citric acid is the chemical in urine that helps prevent kidney stones. Gout is also a potential side effect of high protein diets. People who have developed Uric acid stones or gout are often recommended to keep their protein down to something like 80-90 gums. Sorry, I can’t remember the exact number but I’m sure good old Google could come up with the recommendation.

They do kidney X-rays mainly to do a quick visual for larger kidney stones.. ultrasound is a great imaging modality as is non-contrast CT.. Quick and non-invasive.

Danana, WOW, surgery, so sorry.☹️ It’s unbelievable that they can find it to remove it! My husband’s was many years ago and he never had a problem since. He said the worse and most painful part was having the stent taken out without any pain killer or pain medication. He still remembers it being removed and he said it took awhile and it was just torturous. I will take you up on putting lemon in his water though. I want him drinking more water as it is! Plus, he has always loved lemon in his water. Thanks!👍🍋🌸

DP, in my eyes you are absolutely young, and you both are so youthful in heart. 💕 Enjoy every minute of your fifties when you get there. Once I hit my sixties, stuff kept happening medically. My hair changed, my skin changed, my eyesight changed, my thyroid had an episode and I now take medication for it. At times I feel I am in my seventies, and as you said, I will be there in a blink of an eye! Feels weird being the same age as old people now.😆🌺

Kenna, I don’t remember how they found his kidney stone. He was in so much pain they admitted him in the hospital when it was full and closed to any more being admitted due to the great flu pandemic way back then. Helps when your friend is the head of the hospital. He hasn’t had that problem since, but I am going to put citrus in his water, just to get him to drink more water, for now on it’s a great idea! I lecture him all the time about drinking water. He takes medication and takes a sip of water, A SIP, to get it down, and it annoys me to no end!!! So that is such a good thought, to just spike his water with lemon, as he likes that anyway, I do not. Thank you Kenna for the info!👍🌺
