I would love some tips. I’m supposed to be bringing my simple carbs down for health reasons and I set my macros at 25% carbs 40% fat and 35% protein. My doctor said to cut out white and beige carbs - pasta, bread, rice, noodles, couscous, flour and potatoes - and to keep my carbs colourful and varied. Which I’ve done. Over the last 2 months I’ve had 1 bread roll, 4 sheets of lasagne,1 tablespoon of brown rice and about 8 of my homegrown purple or red potatoes. We cook from fresh every day. But I cannot get my macros to work. If I get my carbs right the fat is always out of wack and I never seem to get enough protein. What can I add to my diet or cook through the week to get the balance better?
