I have been eating WAY too much popcorn lately. Usually pop 1/3 cup of kernels and eat the whole thing. Of course lots of butter and salt.

starting to consume it whenever I feel like craving chips or a snack .. without the butter is a pretty healthy alternative I feel .. however kind of overdoing it ( unconsciously lying to myself pretending that is healthy and enlarging the portions )

OK I definitely was shocked when I found out how many calories were actually in my oil popped popcorn. So I am now weighing my popcorn on my food scale and sticking to whatever measurement I need to fit in my calories or whatever portion I feel I am truly hungry for. Being honest about how much I’m putting into my body helps me not feel so guilty when I’m eating it.

I enjoy the microwave popcorn also, much lower in calories and can be made easily, no need to buy the package.

Kay, would you consider using an air popper? Of course if you add butter there goes your calorie count, but there are other low cal add-ons you can try. The other night I added dried cranberries and candied pecans, actually for salad, but worked great with my popcorn. 😊
