I do know that at the end of the day my forearms are screaming. And shoulders. Yay me. So I guess I get a decent workout. It does aggravate my arthritis tho. Lol bless my old heart.

Unless you're a physique competitor there isn't much of a reason to monitor your out. Just monitor your intake and adjust depending on if you don't lose for 2-3 weeks. Or just choose active if you're in your feet most of the day.

I tend to agree with you Diablo (why did you choose this name 🤣). I was just wondering how many calories I was actually burning at work. As you have guessed, I am not that into fitness. For now.

wouldn’t bother unless you’re doing lots of high intensity stuff for a sport or something similar that you may need to do. For one thing our bodies won’t burn the same amount day in day out, regardless of the same activity being done. Just about all fitness trackers, machines etc are 70% off or more. Claiming that you burn “400 calories”, is more like 150... I had a fitness watch years ago, said I burned 1200 a day on average & 400 on workout days. I tested it for a month eating that amount back, I noticed in 2 weeks it was causing fat gain fast, and after a month of experimenting. I never used the watch again. It’s WAY easier to just track your food intake, average it out, and adjust up or down depending on your weight tends, and which direction your body is going. I don’t even bother caring about what I burn from exercise, I never used to before all the tracking stuff, just ate more or less and saw what happened. But apps like these just make it easier. Give yourself 2-3 weeks of an average weekly cal and weight intake, and go from there, simple 👍🏻

Deadpool: that’s exactly what I have been doing. I never paid attention to how much calories I was burning. Just logging the intake, keeping the daily intake 800-900 cal. I did lose weight quickly, and you are right, it’s the result that matters. Thank you for reassurance.

Katsolo: Zero it is then. I think it works for me, as Deadpool reassured me below.

Thank you everyone. We had a great discussion. Fitness is new to me, I get easily confused, so your suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

I chose it cause it's one of my favorite videogame series lol. I didn't even know this app had a forum or feed before I chose it.

Sure thing, anytime👍🏻 . I’d say, a good average weight to shoot for yourself, (going off your current number here), shooting anywhere from 0.3-0.5lbs to 1-1.1lbs lost weekly would be a safe bet. If you workout and/or have a decent amount of muscle and/or are already lean & want to get leaner, aim for the lower end of that loss, if you have more fat to lose you can aim for the higher end. So to figure that out (as close as realistically possible anyways): All you do is just weigh yourself daily, Mark it down, add up 7 days (mon-sun), divide by 7, this will help get rid of pesky fluctuations like water weight, undigested food, glycogen, etc. to give a better idea of what your “actual” weight is... then after 2-3 weeks of averages. you can adjust your cal/food intake towards whatever way you want your weight going. if you’ve been losing weekly so far, than up the adjustment 1-2 weeks... that’s probably the more simple method to use. (For anyone else reading this comment, you can use the same method, with your own weight adjustments)
