I've done those same sorta things to myself. I'm not sure why we feel that we have to punish ourselves for not reaching our goals. We want to be our best self at all times. But why can't we also be kind to ourselves in the process? Believe me I struggle with this entire stinairo myself on a daily basis. Not just when it comes to loosing weight but in everyday life. I wish you well and remember...you are Not alone.

Biotin! Assumed all women had that shit in their trick bag. Triples the length of my 7 remaining hairs in a week. Nails too!

I hadn't really considered that - falling off the wagon as punishment. That's a good point.

@she_loves could you please suggest some brands for the collagen supplements? Thank you! 🤗

Yes! I've been using the Ancient Nutrition Collagen Protein Powder that uses 20 sources of collagen. It's got 10g of collagen in a single serving, but recommended intake is half that so I do a half serving once a day. It comes in several flavors, the vanilla isn't bad. =) I was able to find it at my local grocer but you can order it online from Dr. Axe's website directly as well!

Nooo... my hair whisperer always says never change your hairstyle when you’re feeling emotional. I’ve asked for hair like Pink and she asked if I was feeling stressed. Hair will grow back. 💞

Did some research on the collagen, and the shampoo thing won't work, as collagen molecules are too big to be absorbed by the skin. I'm not doing injections, either ($$$). The best thing to do is to avoid sugar, eat healthy to get protein and vitamins (A & C) in our systems, and avoid sunlight (which causes collagen to break down) -- so wear hats and sunblock everyone!

I'm sorry you're feeling so down.. I'm sorry you felt the need to punish yourself. :(You're beautiful no matter the hair/weight. (You'll probably shrug that off) but! give yourself some grace and hugs from me.

@Kellagh: Thank you for the hugs! @Mermee: there is no way my doctor would ever prescribe this, as it's used to treat liver disease and high blood pressure (I have low blood pressure, so this would probably put me in a coma). So while it would be nice to have thicker hair, I'm going to have to wait until something else is introduced by the FDA!

You've got a beautiful face, so I wouldn't believe your hair could diminish your overall outward beauty. Chin up!

@FlSchnauzerMom Collagen isn't produced by plants (they don't have skin, bone or muscle, after all =)), so there are no natural vegan sources of collagen out there. You can find synthetic collagen that comes from plant-based sources, but I don't know much about those in terms of efficacy or whether or not they're worth the money. Sorry! =(
