I feel as though I cheated death. I am still ill, but today was able to get dressed and leave my home! My children have been returned to me and it was a wondrous reunion. They were with family members while I recuperated. They also enjoyed their time with their aunt, uncle, cousins, dad and nana. So grateful to have them there for us! <3 I am happy to report that whatever I have is NOT the flu. Just whatever is going around and I hope none of you catch this!
I purchased the vegetables for my salads and my lean meats for my other meals. Other fresh veggies for sides. It will be nice to return to the gym on monday. I am going to take it easy the rest of the weekend. There are a few kid friendly Superbowl parties we were invited to and we will see how I feel on sunday. If I'm not up to it, then that's ok. We have Netflix, which has Sesame St. I don't care much for sportsball, but I come from a football family and Superbowl Sunday was always a holiday in our house!
I'm excited to return to work (never thought I'd say that!) and back to healthy eating. Not just what I can hold down. On a related note. I'm very sick of chicken soup! (Even though I make awesome chicken soup - good thing the kids like it!)
