I baked some dog treats for our dog, Sydney. As you can see in picture she is a bit chunky. She is a super sweet but very quirky tri heeler. These will be much better for her. Less calories n fat! We do limit quanity but I didnt want her not to have any.

I read somewhere that dogs can and do count how "many" treats, but they haven't been shown to understand volume. meaning 1 small treat has the same value as 1 giant treat. I thought that was really interesting.

Awww! What a pretty pup!!! My last dog was an Aussie, and I always needed to keep her diet in check. Carots to the rescue! 😁 Thankfully, she was such a greedy begger that she thought they were great treats! 😁

@katsolo, that is very interesting! We have always bought smaller treats, so I made mostly smaller sizes. Thanks for that info!
@ melissa, our heeler is soooo quirky. We rescued her and she was afraid of all inside sounds and wouldn't go outside by herself. After 2 years, she is still scared of alot but it's better. I think I mentioned b4, she was severely abused . That breaks my heart! We just give her lots of love and attention. 💜💜💜

@dp, Sydney loves cheese as well. She rarely gets it though..carrots were mentioned but she will only eat them if cooked. I did try to give her steamed broccoli and she liked that. Not so much on raw veggies..

Mine love frozen green beans. I snap them in pieces and throw them in the air.
