Okay, do you eat aggs? They're rich in fat and protein and perfect for keto. For snacks, i love to eat almonds, also great for keto. For meals, please incorporate lettuce and cucumbers, as they're low carb yet filling foods so they keep you satiated. If you like either tea or coffee, it's very good to make it a part of your diet. Using at secret to track macros you can look into how many grams of carbs you take, now a strict keto diet is under 20g carbs, but it's a bit hard to start off with, a regular low carb diet will help you lose weight pretty effectively which would incorporate around 30 to 50g carbs. You really want to stay away from anything packed and processed. Also, it's really informative to look up videos on youtube, there's tons of keto channels and recipes for all sorts of people! Starting keto can be very overwhelming, but if you stick to it, you can find meals and ways that caters to your preferences perfectly.

And don't be too strict with yourself! I suggest you try staying low carb to start off, and do research in the mean time. Look up keto snacks and foods and see what fits your preferences best. I hope this helps, please let me know if you're looking for more advice. I'm no professional, but I've been on a low carb/keto lifestyle for the past 4 years so I would like to help.

Count your calories too. One can eat too many calories while eating ketofied (high fat) recipes and not lose weight.

Oh yes! I count ny calories and stay under a certain amount. I forgot to mention that haha.

Thank you both for your help. I wasn’t sure about the calories: I am using 1700 Calories a day, but I am not active

Maryjane, a true 1700 cal (no extra sips, licks, bites, pats of butter, mayo...etc) should be low enough for you to lose weight at a steady rate. I am basing this off of online calorie calculators and your current weight. https://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/ Use this to get a better idea of how many calories and macros you should eat.
