Sigh. The scale has not budged, and is stuck at 163. My period started yesterday, so that's likely the roadblock, and Monday will show a decent drop. I know everyone detests menopause, but I'm really just over the whole monthly inconvenience.
Since reformulating my attitude and gameplan to The Long Game of 6-12 months, I've made other decisions, like my Way of Eating (WOE). It has settled into vegetarian/vegan, though this is largely because it's summer and produce is at its finest now. Also, you can make the servings large since no one ever got fat from eating lettuce, leeks or strawberries.
The other thing I've been focusing on is my skin, since there's a ton of pitfalls with dieting that can affect our body's largest organ. I've taken to slathering on lotion 2-3x a day all over, but especially in the areas where I'm worried about the loose skin appearing once the fat is gone. Sunblock in my facial moisturizer from the moment I wake up, so that I don't have an excuse to not go for a quick walk in the morning before work. And a multivitamin in case I'm deficient in nutrients that day.
Today's exercise will be a 3 mile walk on the beach, since it's going to be a clear, hot day in Southern California. Happy weekend, everyone!
