Thanks ruudspark, Mickysweet, Gilly Fizzy & pebbleperson. I just spoke to my mum via facetime, she in fine form planning a jailbreak from the care home. I can't go to see her, more is the pity as I am shielding. I would give anything to give her a hug....maybe soon. Stay safe😀

Really pleased to hear your mama is getting up from her chair herself! That's fantastic! She sounds great!
My own Aunty Jean is now 91 and she's as sharp as ever! She only gave up driving in February! Fantastic!
Elderlies who keep going are the best ❤️

Thanks jacshadow, Moopie123 & leanne80. You wouldn't believe it. She started with a chest infection and had two lots of antibiotics over a 3 week period. It got so bad the care home called 111 and they sent what is called the red team. The red team hospitalised her and that's when we found out she had Covid19. For the first four days there was no improvement. I then got a call from the hospital and they said they wanted to trail a plasma infusion. I'd already read about it before so I agreed along with my brother giving his consent. My mum as dementia and gets confused. I have got power of attorney for her. She had the plasma infusion, first day she just slept but after that she picked up 100%. Four days later she left hospital with a clear test much to my relief. I spoke to my mum over Facetime and she looks a lot better and doesn't seem as confused. 👍😀
